Roadhouse 52 Recommends - Lunch

Lunch and dinner spots can be easily mixed together. So, we decided to put them together in one blog.

Even when talking to the staff, we couldn’t decide the difference between the two because someone would think lunch, and another would think dinner. We’ll let you decide if each place would be better for lunch or for dinner. Let’s see where the staff of Roadhouse 52 like to eat.

Viet House

A small little restaurant parked at the back of the building that houses Caesars Pizza and El Vicino Foods. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and there are different options to satisfy anyone. The restaurant is small, with just a few tables, but they also offer takeout. Authentic Vietnamese food for anyone who wants to try something different. We highly recommend giving them a try.

Santa Lucia

Who is up for Italian? Not only do they have great pizza, but they also offer a variety of other foods. Our finance manager, Pam, loves their pasta. One of our assistant managers, Stephanie, loves that they have a vegan cheese option as she is unable to have dairy products. Vegan? They have something for you as well. The atmosphere is really great as well. A real gem of a place.

Irori BBQ House

Calling all sushi lovers. This place is a great place to grab some sushi. Not a fan? There are so many other dishes. A small, locally owned Korean restaurant planted in Victoria Plaza, has a variety of food and drinks. The owners are often seen working, making the food or serving customers, always smiling. They are also very helpful when you come in with kids who have never tried sushi before. There really is something for everyone to try. We dare you to take on the heat of their spicy pork bowl.

Coffee Culture

I think this place is more of a lunch, or coffee break, kind of place. A great atmosphere to meet with friends, study, or get some work done. Why not have a meeting with some delicious coffee and cake? Or, try one of their freshly made salads or sandwiches. The staff are really friendly and they know their menu items well. If you have a special dietary need, they’ve got you covered.

Bigg Smoak

Last for this list is Bigg Smoak. Now, lots of people ask if the hotel owns Bigg Smoak, or if we are partnered with them in any way. The short answer is no. The owners of the hotel own the building, but they do not own the restaurant. This place is a staff favourite for their amazing BBQ style food. They also have a large variety of food so there really is something for everyone. Guests of the hotel also love that they don’t have to travel far to get a really good meal. Another highlight, they know how to give decent portions. So be sure to check them out the next time you’re craving BBQ but don’t want to do it yourself.

Hungry yet?

Well, that is all for this blog. Hopefully this helps you the next time you’re trying to figure out where to eat. There really are so many good restaurants to eat at that we just didn’t have time to touch on in this blog, such as Sawney Beans, Chinos Bistro, Burrito Hut, and Doener Grill Express, to name a few. And many places deliver to the hotel, so if you’re staying here, you don’t even have to leave your room. What about you? Where is your favourite place to eat? Comment your favourite place to eat at below. We would love to hear from you.
