3 Ways to Celebrate Mom

Spring is around the corner. Some days it doesn’t feel like winter will ever leave. May is approaching us fast, and with May comes a very special day: Mother’s Day. A day where we show moms how much we appreciate everything they have done for us. From changing diapers and wiping noses, to being a shoulder to cry on with your first heartbreak and waiting up late to make sure you made it back from that party safely. Moms are incredible. They are real life superheroes. 

We have some incredible moms that are a part of our hotel family. They seem to have an endless supply of energy that keeps them going. Some of these moms are with their children during the day, and then come and work hard in the evening. Others have kids who are grown and moved out, but they are not the type to just sit at home and do nothing. Each of them is special and loved. 

Mother’s Day is one day a year, but we should really appreciate moms everyday. They never take a day off, and no matter how bad things can get, they are always there for us. So, why not use mother’s day to spoil your mom. Here are 3 ways you can celebrate mom this Mother’s Day.

1. Treat her to a Night Away Sometimes moms just need a night off. No cooking, no cleaning; just a night with the family or maybe a night away from everyone and everything. And we all know moms can’t do this at home. There’s always something they find that needs cleaning. So, why not come stay with us. Relax in our spacious hot tub, challenge mom to some games in our recreation room, or even borrow some of our board games and puzzles and have a quiet night in your spacious hotel room. Order food in and just make it a fun night.

2. Buy her Something Special from a Local Store Want to buy mom a gift, but are not sure what to get her? Why not check out some of  the local stores and support a small local business at the same time! Buy her something she’s always wanted, or something that reminds you of her.

3. Do Something Sentimental Mom’s are amazing and there can be so many special moments that either made us laugh or cry. Is there a place that is sentimental to the both of you? A place that holds a special memory that you want to relive with your mom? Why not bring her there and share that special moment again. Share what made it so special for you. Let her know how much of an impact she has made on you.

Whatever you do, make it special. Our moms are amazing, and they deserve to be treated as such.
