Local Trails: Who says you need to go far to be able to enjoy a nice hike?
Bush Farm Trail: There’s one right here in Steinbach. This 4.2km trail goes through the bush behind Southland Church, past the soccer park and out past Abe’s hill. A great trail for walking, biking, or jogging. If you like rollerblading, just don’t go through the bush as that part of the trail is not paved.
Rosenthal Nature Trail: This short trail is just outside of Steinbach, between Mitchell and Randolf (about 10 minutes from Steinbach). It features a pond and a couple walking paths around it and through the trees. Perfect if you don’t want to travel far but want to get out in nature.
Ledingham Bridge Loop: This short trail is located just beside the Ledingham Car Dealership in Steinbach. The trail loops around a creek and is a fun little hike, great for the whole family!
Tourond Creek Discovery Centre: Located about 15 minutes from Steinbach, Tourond Creek has several trails to try. There is also a lookout and picnic area. This is a great location for taking photos and exploring.
Suspension Bridge Trails: Who doesn’t want to see a cool bridge?
Roseau River Swinging Bridge Trail: Located just under an hour south of Steinbach, this trail is a must to experience with beautiful scenery and a swinging bridge. Don’t forget your camera.
Pinawa Trail: This trail is a must, with some fun things to see on the trail, including the Pinawa Dam, a Suspension Bridge, and beautiful views of the water. This trail is located just outside of Pinawa and is about an hour and a half drive from Steinbach.
