We’re Back!

It’s been well over a year since our last blog, but WE’RE BACK!  In this blog, the first of 2025, I will update you on what we’ve been up to and what we are hoping to do this year. A bit late to be a New Year’s blog, but hey, better late than never! So, let’s do this. 

What We’ve Been Up To

We have still been trying to put on special and fun weekends. We’ve been hosting markets, barbeques, and event weekends. Last year we put on our second annual Christmas Gift & Getaway Weekend. There was cookie decorating, wreath making, a delicious breakfast and a wonderful artisan market. And this time we added a canteen to the market where we sold homemade soup, chili, taco in a bag and a Christmas Punch. There were some very satisfied people who were fed that day. 

More recently we just hosted our first Romantic Valentine’s Getaway. The weekend included a candle lit dinner for two, a homemade breakfast delivered to the room, and a romantic package set up in the room. Everyone who came for this one night package enjoyed their stay and the food. We hope to grow this getaway package to include more as it grows in popularity. So, make sure you’re following us to find out what we have up our sleeves for next Valentine’s. 

What We Are Doing Now

Right now we are trying out different crazy sales. Many of you have taken advantage of our Winter Weekday Special, booking a standard room starting at $99 Sunday through Wednesday. And, for the month of March we will be doing something crazy. We will be putting one of our specialty rooms on sale!! Wait, what! That’s right. Our billiards theme room will be $25 off regular rate March 1st till March 27th. The weekday special will continue as well until March 26th. And that is what we have currently in the works. 

What Are We Planning

So much! I don’t want to get carried away, but I do want to drop some teasers. So, let’s start with March. You’re probably wondering why the weird cut offs for the other two specials. Well, that is because we have a crazy sale happening at the end of the month for Spring Break. All I’ll tell you at the moment is that you’re getting a sale AND activities. It will be fun for the whole family to come and hang out and support local. We MIGHT make the activities available to sign up and just attend for a small fee, but we will see what happens. We are also planning some more markets, the first one will be in April, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Then we have a Mother’s Night Out, and Father’s Day BBQ, and that’s just to kick things off. Who knows what else we will come up with. Our goal is to give our guests a unique experience that creates wonderful family memories. 

We Need You

Yes, this is a bit more of a promotional blog, but the fact remains that we cannot do this without you. We need your support. We can’t make any of those plans a success if you don’t show up. Sure, we’re a fun staff when we get together, but it would be a lot better if you came and joined us. Shenanigans will be had, laughter will happen, and memories will be made. The more you help us make these events and sales a success, the more we can do, the bigger we can go. One of our assistant managers dreams really big for events at the hotel. She wants to make this the hotel to be at, but if people don’t come, it will be harder to put things on. We can plan another Valentine’s Getaway for next year because people came. We can plan markets because you guys come. We can do another thing for Mother’s day because people came. You get the point. And if you make these things into annual traditions you can watch as they grow. Last year, our Mother’s Day event was a homemade dinner. We’re adding onto that this year. We can do that with all of them, but only with your support.
